Why Do Athletes Get Overpaid
How much money does a professional athlete make compared to many other people who have different jobs like nurses or teachers? On average, the money a professional athlete can make yearly can be around forty million dollars while a nurse or a teacher can only make one-hundred thousand dollars yearly. Many people don’t realise what the problem is. The problem is that athletes can cover millions of dollars or even billions of dollars. The fact that remains is that athletes are getting overpaid yearly, and we should not let athletes get overpaid.

Athletes still make millions or billions of dollars yearly but, there are many people who have dangerous and high risk at the cost of your life or someone else. There are firefighters who have to save people from disasters; any type doctors or surgeons who have to save children; and teachers/professors who have to teach the students at any school, college, or university. Playing sports for entertainment for many people is one thing, but there are many other jobs that should get paid more money such as doctors and teachers. Should we pay athletes more money than they deserve when playing just for a game? Many people think that we’re not overpaying athletes millions of dollars. However, other people have to consider that athletes do get paid more than a million dollars which a president could barely make for two years and the highest paying job which are anesthesiologists, can only make that much in about 4 years.
