Scientists are continuously trying to work out the case. They compared DNA of the skeleton to those of living posterity. They concluded that it in fact matched the king from what they could tell. The tests that some scientists and archeologists ran were; DNA samples, cutting edge x-ray tomography, carbon dating, etc.
Archeologists cannot say for sure that the bones that were found are in fact from King Richard III. Countless tests have been ran on the bones to help prove this theory. Some believe that the body, or bones, that was found, might have
came from a victim of war. Although the location does match up to where King Richard could’ve been buried, many other war victims’ bones could also have been buried there too. The Battle of Bosworth was around that time era, so it was very likely and possible that the bones could have been from a war veteran.
Some scientists, however, believe that the bones do in fact belong to King Richard III. At the “University of Leicester”, specialists have been analyzing data. Saying that the sex and age, along with his spine, fit with the physical traits of King Richard. The supporting evidence that they found the bones at the “lost church of Leicester”, where he could have been buried at that time.
I personally believe that the bones are not in fact King Richard’s. I could definitely however, be wrong. There is a lot of facts contradicting the bones being King Richard’s. There is a lot of evidence supporting that King Richard also did not have a curvaceous spine, it might just have been the image that Shakespeare wanted to portray of him. A reburial has been made for the body that may or may not be King Richard III. Who really knows if we are actually burying the right body. So many contradictory explanations has left us all to wonder, who are we really burying?
