Movies are a rollercoaster ride that transcends people into a whole different world fresh out of somebody’s imagination as seen through the genres of horror, drama, and science fiction. The movie business has allowed us to break through our burden of everyday life. Movies have a powerful ubiquity within human culture. Movies are stories. Movies are people who come out with ideas about something they want to say. Movies are a form of communication. It's been that way for as long as movies have been around. Movies are different things to different people, and that is what is so incredible about them. To me personally, movies are about escapism. Movies are about sitting in a theatre, watching a story unfold with people I don't know. I know that for those two hours, when I watch, I don't have to worry about what is going on outside. I lose myself in what I'm watching. Movies can educate too. They tell us things we never could have known. They tell us things we might not know, and they give us a way to explore the past, the present and the future.
I could use both qualitative and quantitative research if I wanted for this question. If I didn’t have any ideas of why people enjoyed going to the movies then I could use qualitative research to understand and uncover people’s thoughts and opinions. If I come up with some reasons on my own, I could use quantitative research and then I would be able to measure how many people feel that way.
I would give out a survey or a questionnaire that would ask the question “Why do you enjoy going to the movies?” and there would be a list of possible answers and possibly one that says “other” so they can fill in their own reason. This would combine quantitative and qualitative research.
This method would be safe because it would be anonymous. There would be no risks involved because there aren’t any experiments being done and nothing is
