I.- Why do people lie?
Everybody lies. It may only be “white” lies, but everyone tells lies or “omits the truth” sometimes.
They lie to protect themselves, look good, gain financially or socially and avoid punishment.
Often caught in an awkward situation, what do you do? Quick escape. Easy. Lie. But seriously, why do we do it? Is it because we're afraid of the consequences that the truth will bring us?
Maybe quick fix is the reason why people lie. People often say they've already done something that someone asked when the truth is they haven't even started yet! Quick run, now is the time to do it, you already said you've done it. Come on, can't you say you haven't really done it yet and you're just about to start but you're gonna do it really quick? I know, some might say 'look who's talking' or 'as if it's that easy'. I'm just venting out here, bear with me. I know I do that to, I mean who doesn't? But I don't do it as often, probably just on rare occasions, because I try not to hurt the other person involve. I mean if it's just the time that you slept, why wouldn't you say the truth?
Why do people lie? For self-defense, to spare feelings, to protect feelings, to keep a secret, to present a good image, to be liked, to manipulate a person, and to keep a person’s trust
1-Some people lie because they want to protect themselves. They may be afraid of a certain situation or conflict. Children lie so they do not get in trouble. They want to avoid the consequences and or punishment for what they had done. Teenagers and adults also do the same. People who lie know they have done something that will anger or disappoint another person. I lie to my mother about the cost of my clothes or shoes. My brother often lies about a buddy he was going to hang out with. These lies are said to get away from punishment or to avoid a fight. A person who lies may not have done anything wrong, but would rather not have to give reason for or explain to
