Setting up a reward for donating to charity is not necessarily a bad thing. For instance, it might encourage people to donate more, even when there is no reward associated. In my school, instead of offering grades as a reward, we offer a pizza party, or something similar, and most of the time sends back pictures of the charity receiving the donations, encouraging us to donate more. And even though there is not a reward, some people keep on donating to the same charity just because it is the right thing to do. There is always a reward when donating to charity, maybe it is extra credit, but maybe it is the food feeling gotten when you do what's right.…

    I. Attention getter: I believe that if, at the end of it all according to our abilities, we have done something to make others a little happier and something to make ourselves a little happier, that is about the best we can do. To make others less happy is a crime. To make ourselves unhappy is where all crime starts. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances…we must try. I didn’t always know this and I am happy that I lived long enough to find it out.” -Roger Ebert; thyroid cancer survivor…
