Escaping from their homeland is a terrifying task. These refugees are coming over on small rafts that may collapse in the middle of the ocean. Tons of volunteers have come to the coast to help some people make their way to shore. They get the children off the boats and check to see if they are healthy, unfortunately sometimes they don’t get to them in time. A few bodies have washed up on the shore, which stresses the actual trying task of getting to safety. Providing safe transportation would solve a majority of the deaths. Getting the refugees to their destination safely isn’t where it should stop. Before the current migration wave places could easily be found for unaccompanied minors, unfortunately this is not the case. Instead of being placed in a safe and protective environment they are waitlisted and forced to fend for themselves. These young children are in a foreign place and in come cases without any guidance. This increases the chances of death and starvation.
In conclusion, helping the refugees is a worthy investment. Whether it’s the thought of not preventing unnecessary deaths or the prospect of an addition to America, helping is worth it. Moral issues, Economic benefits and providing safeties prove that helping the refugees is a valuable decision. Today’s problem could be tomorrow’s solution if we all strive for the greater
