Why Does Elk Grove Need A Clean Source Of Energy
Elk grove needs a clean source of energy. In my opinion biomass would be a good energy source for Elk Grove. Biomass is an organic and renewable material that comes from plants and animals.Contains stored energy from the sun. Biomass can be converted to other usable forms of energy like methane gas or transportation fuels like ethanol and biodiesel.

Biomass is a good resource because it's renewable and it's a clean energy source. Also biomass can be reproduced over a relatively short period of time. Elk grove needs a resource like biomass because it is natural and will not cause harm like other sources of energy. An example would be coal. Coal mining has the potential to harm air, water and land quality if it is not done with the appropriate

The environmental impacts of farming practices can also be reduced with the adoption of sustainable production methods in the agricultural sector. Growing corn, wheat, rice, and sugarcane produces large amounts of agricultural wastes, some of which are burned, degrading air quality. In the production of cellulosic ethanol, the bulk of the biomass would become a valuable source of energy rather than a waste product. In fact, municipal solid waste (MSW) includes a large volume of cellulosic material that has the potential to be converted to ethanol.…

It is an alternative from other resources such as fossil fuels, coal, and petroleum. Burning biomass releases carbon dioxide, which is way better than fossil fuels which releases harmful pollution. If more people recycled we could use that garbage and make energy from chemical gases. It is one of the bigger reusable resources. By using biomass you can reduce the landfills, which is always the better option. In the United States, if you install a biomass boiler than you get paid by the government to promote the use of reheat able energy. And chances are those resources are everywhere you go! Meaning it is way cheaper than fossil…

In this paper I will explore the use of ethanol as an alternative fuel source. Ethanol is considered a renewable energy resource; as it is derived from crops such as: corn, sugarcane, beets, as well as, other organic materials. The use of ethanol could decrease our dependence on ever depleting supplies of fossil fuels; such as oil.…

he capture of solar energy through photosynthesis is a process that enables the storage of energy in the form of cell wall polymers (that is, cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin). The energy stored in these polymers can be accessed in a variety of ways, ranging from simple burning to complex bioconversion processes. The high energy content and portability of biologically derived fuels, and their significant compatibility with existing petroleum-based transportation infrastructure, helps to explain their attractiveness as a fuel source. Despite the increasing use of biofuels such as biodiesel and sugar- or starch-based ethanol, evidence suggests that transportation fuels based on lignocellulosic biomass represent the most scalable alternative fuel source1. Lignocellulosic biomass in the form of plant materials (for example, grasses, wood and crop residues) offers the possibility of a renewable, geographically distributed and relatively greenhouse-gas-favourable source of sugars that can be converted to ethanol and other liquid fuels. Calculations of the productivity of lignocellulosic feedstocks, in part based on their ability to grow on marginal agricultural land, indicates that they can probably have a large impact on transportation needs without significantly compromising the land needed for food crop production2.…

Personal sacrifice is not an obscure idea; it is power held within the majestic bodies of life. It is a compelling notion which has shaped the world microscopically where no eye could see. It is a grand gesture, yet it is the simplest of means. It is a burning passion of repetitive hatredness and love. It is fire with the power to spread and flourish as well as burn and eradicate. The bond secured is invincible. Personal sacrifice is vital to the society presented today. It may not be seen by the eye, but it is felt everywhere. Individuals are acquired to sacrifice a piece of their joy, happiness, and comfort to others; it is an involuntary action which proceeds in a revolution. Personal sacrifice is necessary for immense change, particularly,…

Besides the European countries, the United States also makes some measures to control the renewable energy more effectively. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the United Sates need to spend about 8000 US farms on installing biomass plants. [2] In order to cut down costs, a number of states and companies are considering new investments or programs. They hope to build plants in Calnifornia to turn organic waste from farms and gas from water treatment plants into biogas.[3] Because of less natural energy and more expensive fees, this way can help the whole state to meet requirements.…
