Football and soccer are alike in many ways and they are also different. Football is much more aggressive than soccer because you tackle in football. Also in football you pass it or you run with it. In football you are allowed to touch the ball with your hands. But in soccer you are not. In soccer you score goals in a net. In football you try to get a touchdown or a field goal. Soccer games are shorter than football games soccer games are an hour and a half. Football games are usually 2 hours and a half so they are longer. Some reasons why they are the same is because they are both physical. They are both fun to play. The fields are different from each other. In soccer the stadiums are crowded just like football. One day I watched a football game and observed the spectators present that day. There were fans from both the teams, school newspaper staff, yearbook staff, former high school football players, the players' relatives, and other spectators. At the end of the game, I asked my high school team's wide receiver and friend, " Why do want to a score a touchdown?" to which he replied, "For the audience." From then I realized that football players are aware of the audience when they play. They are aware of their fans, journalists, and the people who learn from the game.
