Why Football Should Not Be Banned
Youth’s should not be banned from playing sports like dodgeball, cheerleading, and football because it can tech allot of quick thinking skills and more. I know this because in the passage “Should DodgeBall Be Banned In Schools”, It says, “He also argues that it teaches Hand-Eye coordination, concentration and the ability to think and draw quick conclusions”(171). This proves that the sports teaches us usable and useful skills in life. Also in cheerleading they teach allot of safety skills. In the passage “Most dangerous sport of all ay be cheerleading”, It says, “You can minimize the chance of having an injury, and what that comes down to [is] having coach that is qualified.” Football should also not be banned. Youth should not be banned from participating in sports like dodgeball, cheerleading, and football in schools. To begin, dodge ball shouldn’t be banned in school because it teaches kids mental and physical skills. According to Rick Hanthena’s opinion on dodge ball, he says, “He also argues that it teaches hand-eye coordination, concentration and the ability to to think and draw quick conclusions”(pg. 171). This proves that Rick Hanthena wants to keep dodgeball in school because of the lessons it can teach. A reason why cheerleading shouldn’t be banned in schools is because cheerleading coaches are trained and certified. My evidence from Johnson's certification is, “Johnson is an experienced coach with safety training and cheer certifications.…

These sports can leave deep marks on children’s personality and disrupt them for the rest of their lives. Thus, I think that parents need to understand that such games can be hazardous at a young age. I oppose the fact of compelling and overburdening children in order to fulfill personal dreams and making them a sacrificial lamb.…

“School should be about learning, not sports”. Kids now a days love to play sports, but don’t like to learn. Learning, and get an education this is a very important thing in life you need it to have a good job so that you can have a family and support them. So I feel in school you must have good grades in order to play any type of sport, and if you do not then you should not be playing. A couple reasons I feel like this is for starters kids pay more attention to sports then they do in class. This is not how this should be. Kids should love to learn something new every day at school, but in some school that’s not the case. Kids need to learn.…

In a perfect world the athletes we look up to would be law abiding great citizens. They'll give back to the community, do countless hours of community service, fix our schools, parks, and anything else that's asked of them. However, this is no utopia and some of our athletes are not law abiding citizens; with a few of them having multiple run-ins with the law. Being a media crazed era, we are seeing more athletes have run-ins with the law, particularly the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, and the National Football League. When someone does do something, instantly people form their own opinion about what a proper punishment is and it seems to point too banning players. With that being said, should the National Football…

The reason why i think that kids should not be playing sports, is because one thing is that Most children would rather play on a losing team than sit on the bench of a winning team From the article “More Kids Are Suffering Sports Injuries”. What many people don’t see is that people are dieing because of the sports, that they do and most of these sports can cause deaths in them or even breaking something in there body. And also one reason why this is not a good thing for people to do, is because they might hurt himself and get short time memory loss so that is not a good thing for them that have sports. When they do sports and many people that play sports don't even finish their school work and that's what gets them kicked out of the team. What…

Youths that are in middle school and primary should be banned from playing dodge ball, cheerleading, and football in schools. I agree that youths should be banned because, most of these sports can contain hurtful things towards other kids. According to a dodgeball coach Neil Williams, a professor of education at Eastern Connecticut State University, “The game allows the stronger kids to pick and target the weaker kids.” This proves that some of these games will allow kids to get bullied throughout games and sports. Cheer is very dangerous every year there are lots of girls and boys getting hurt during cheer. According to Lynne Castro the mother of Costa Mesa she says cheerleading is scary. “It’s scary. It’s scary,” said Lynne Castro, Cheerleading…

Football has impacted our society in many ways. From the early ages in history to present day, sports have had a major impact on society. Football is a very popular sport played in America and many other countries. But not all of the impact that football has brought on society is positive. A lot of the impact is negative. The Superbowl is held on Sundays so most of the people spend their time in front of the t.v. instead of going to church. Domestic violence rises dramadicly after the super bowl. And it has given many people gambling addictions. Sports in society today have had a great impact.…

Organized sports have a lot of effects on children, whether they be positive or negative. Children are still finding out who they are and what the world is like. I chose this topic because I wanted to know childrens’ motives to do organized sports, and what effects the sports have on the them. I wanted to know the reasons kids start playing sports and, while it may be different for every child, they all had to have had some say in it. Every sport has skills that benefit children such as learning leadership, creating realistic goals they can achieve and learning to get along with others. Children also learn about personal discipline. “What's even more interesting is that kids derive those benefits whether or not they excel at their chosen sport” (Mary Forgione). When I first saw this quote I was really surprised over the fact that children learn these important life lessons even if they aren’t good at their sport. Ever since I had the chance, I played baseball. Why? I don’t really…

High school sports are a thing people tend to associate with a lot of other things. Some of them are good, some of them are bad. Their association with these things make people wonder if we should have them in our schools, and the answer is, rather obviously, no. While sports have some benefits, they are more harm than good because of the injuries they cause, the scholarships they don’t provide and the funding it takes from other extracurricular activities.…

Why banned college football? That’s the real question. College football truly means something to most Americans! Most college football players don’t even get paid to play the sport. Though there are many good arguments and opinions about banning the sport; I have yet to see an argument that considers the players individual situations. All the people who are against keeping college football only consider the academic purposes. The players show their hard work, commitment, and devotion to the sport. They play for the entertainment of Americans and talking it away would be a massive mistake.…

Activities and sports in schools is a great way for students to be involved, and to be active. I have done research and there hasn’t been one article I found on why sports shouldn’t be in schools. Having athletic programs and activities in schools are very helpful for students health, it develops team work, helps develop discipline and also perfection. School administrators, and parents, generally support high school activity programs because of the positive effect these activities appear to have on students of both genders. (Braddock P.1)…

Both a short story and a poem are two different types of writing but can have similar meaning. The fact that two pieces of writing can have the same meaning is something that everyone can keep an open mind with and still have the same message at the end. The message of death is all the same, the loss of someone special. It can be anyone from a family member to a family pet. The life cycle of anything with a heartbeat is very impermanence.…

Toothpaste is a paste or gel dentifrice used with a toothbrush as an accessory to clean and maintain the aesthetics and health of teeth. Toothpaste is used to promote oral hygiene: it serves as an abrasive that aids in removing the dental plaque and food from the teeth, assists in suppressing halitosis, and delivers active ingredients (mainly fluoride) to help prevent tooth and gum disease (gingivitis).[1] Most of the cleaning is achieved by the mechanical action of the toothbrush, and not by the toothpaste. Salt and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) are among materials that can be substituted for commercial toothpaste. Toothpaste is not intended to be swallowed, but is generally not very harmful if accidentally swallowed in small amounts.…
