Why I Want To Achieve My Educational Goals

I have many educational goals set for myself and I know that if I continue to execute these plans I will be successful in my life to come. As of now, my educational goals are to graduate from North Iowa Area Community College in the spring of 2018 and then go to a four year college to finish my degree. I am planning on majoring in Secondary Education with a focus in mathematics. Along with this major, I will obtain a minor in coaching. I have a goal to get my coaching minor before I leave NIACC. I hope to graduate from college with a grade point average above a 3.5. I know that this will take a lot of work but I am willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Also, I am a student-athlete and would like to make the all-academic regional team each season. I believe that it is very important to be successful on and off the playing field. I will continue to push myself in the classroom so I can achieve my highest goals.

After my completion of college and my educational goals are achieved, I plan to become a high school math teacher and also a basketball coach. I would like to be able to teach in a smaller community like the one I grew up in. One reason I want to be a teacher is because I believe they
Receiving this scholarship means more than what I can put into words. Every dollar that I receive would go directly to paying for my education and bettering myself as a person. Being the recipient of a NIACC Foundation Scholarship would be a great honor and I would feel so blessed. Since I am the one paying for my college expenses, I value each dollar a little more. These scholarships help me pay for my school and this makes me feel more comfortable with where I will be after my schooling is finished. I work hard in the classroom and in life so that I may become a successful adult. Receiving this scholarship will help me continue my journey to becoming the best version of myself. These scholarships make a difference in my life and I am forever thankful for
