Why I Want To Be A Prosecutor

Coming into my first class as a criminal justice minor I had not thought too hard on a certain career I may want to pursue. After many action plan videos and readings later, I have decided on a career that sounds the most interesting to me. A prosecutor. A prosecutor is someone who establishes legal affairs against someone who is known as the defendant. A prosecutor works for the government and they handle different types of cases and trails of crimes that happen in a certain area known as a jurisdiction. The career of a prosecutor started to interest me after learning about it through my classes lecture. After I had decided on a career that I thought would be the most interesting I decided to look more into what it takes to become and be a prosecutor. A very obvious start I found was to have a high school diploma. Once entering college is where I found an interesting twist to becoming a lawyer.
I wanted to know if there were possibilities to advance in this career, as well as any challenges I might have to face. While beginning my career as an associate may be dull, after a couple years of practice one may have the opportunity to become a partner in a firm or start their own private practice. The idea of being able to create my own firm really interests me, but I was afraid that I might get burnt out dealing with the same types of cases. One could even become a judge or get a teaching degree to teach law. That gave me hope that even if I become bored, or too old, I could do what I love in a different aspect. But there are many different challenges I would have to face on the road to become a lawyer and once I begin to practice law. A high debt is a huge factor to one of the downfalls of this career along with things such as high stress, long hours, a competitive job market, pressures from clients, changes in laws, technology, and overall a poor public image in
