Being a teacher gives me the honor and opportunity to make those changes through the young. Knowing that I will be making change teaching valuable skills, satisfy my career goals.
A memorable moment of the Spanish major is how I was able to connect with a part of my culture that I never knew existed. Initially I felt that I was very educated in my history but the Spanish major actually helped me to get in touch with my roots. I was able to connect with my roots through history, literature, and language. Because of this I was able to establish a new sense of respect for my culture and the other Spanish speaking cultures.
The most memorable moment is how welcoming the professors and students of the Spanish program are. The professors immediately make it known that we are all here for each other and to help each other advance. I know that I can count on my peers and professors when in need of help. The environment in the Spanish program itself is very open and welcoming, which gives you the feeling that others want to see you progress which ultimately makes you feel like you are on the right path towards
