The reason I believe that there was a rival clan raid is because of all of his wounds on his body. These wounds were starting to heal especially the wound on his hand. Now some may say that he was being hunted by the enemy clan for days after receiving the wounds but the ax would have been taken as a trophy by the enemy clan. I feel that he received the knife wound and bruises on his torso while grappling for the knife in a fight. This could be the reason for bruises on the abdomen and the cut on the hand. If this theory is true then most likely the aggressors were driven off or otzi would have been killed in his village and up the mountains would explain the fact that he travelled up and down the mountain multiple times. …show more content…
