Why Ice Man Killed?

Why was the Ice Man killed many ask. There are also many hypotheses that try to answer this question but don’t cover all of the evidence. I feel the way he was killed was a person in his clan trying to get a better spot in society.Also a enemy clan could have raided recently causing all of his wounds found on his body. This could possibly explain many mysteries surrounding his death especially the copper ax.

The reason I believe that there was a rival clan raid is because of all of his wounds on his body. These wounds were starting to heal especially the wound on his hand. Now some may say that he was being hunted by the enemy clan for days after receiving the wounds but the ax would have been taken as a trophy by the enemy clan. I feel that he received the knife wound and bruises on his torso while grappling for the knife in a fight. This could be the reason for bruises on the abdomen and the cut on the hand. If this theory is true then most likely the aggressors were driven off or otzi would have been killed in his village and up the mountains would explain the fact that he travelled up and down the mountain multiple times.
Due to old age and injuries sustained in the recent battle and saw an opening to kill otzi. This being said if true the murderer would have left the village shortly after otzi had left. Then following close behind the murder would have followed otzi up the mountains as he went to the that would become his place of death.
