In Mexico, Drug cartels have had a great impact because of the amount of violence they have brought into the country. Drug cartels play a really important role in Mexico since they are the number one reason for violence in Mexico but they are also one of the biggest incomes of money. To fight the drug cartels, in 2006, the Drug War started between the Mexican government and drug cartels. Many things were achieved with this war, but this war also made the country's situation worst. Since the Drug War started the number of disappearances and murders in Mexico has increased.
