May 18, 2015 I chose to live in San Miguel, Guanajuato because my family used to live here and my mom says it’s beautiful. Guanajuato is in Mexico which is very diverse. There is allot going on in that country and me being an Art Director makes it to where I can sometimes stay updated with everything going on. I know I made a good choice because I am successfully living in Mexico. I recently graduated from the Art Institute of Austin with my bachelor’s degree in art and I decided to take my career elsewhere. I am now an Art Director and I work all around town with non-profit organizations. My plan state I should get paid around $75,000 annually. Mexico State is not doing well with protecting from gender discrimination, Violence against women, failure to fully comply with Inter American Court of Human Rights judgments on the rape of two indigenous women, and not acknowledging the killing of many women. Many human rights activist work hard to assure justice in Mexico for their deceased relatives. Mexico has no official religion; however, most people in Mexico report they are Christians, and this is reflected in several aspects of life there; Christmas is a national holiday and every year during Easter all schools in Mexico, public and private, take vacations. My grandmother always taught me to have my motives to be successful outshine the difficulty of living there, and it makes it easier for me to manage myself. I get to learn more and more everyday about the culture and it’s more diverse than I thought. I can be prosperous when moving to another place and living normally like my daily life in America.
