He is still dead but I feel like he is living another life based off this statement, by him saying this he is basically living a different unhappy life because of his sins while being alive. If we are just talking about a presence then yes the ghost is real but if we are talking about if the ghost is Hamlets father then that is a different thing. I say that because I believe the ghost could also be a demon because its only asking him to do evil. Nothing that Hamlets fathers ghost is saying is making him sound like a regular person, so either the ghost is a demon or he is just a evil person. When I say a demon I am thinking like a spirit that fools Hamlet like he is his father but is really not his father. Hamlet speculates that the ghost might be a devil sent to deceive him and tempt him into murder, and the question of what the ghost is or where it comes from is never definitively resolved.
