Hitler soon decided to share his ideas and gave a speech. Hitler had a way with words. When he spoke, people listened and it just happened that people liked what they were listening to. He made the members of the Nazi party believe in him. Promising them freedom and a better economy compared to the one they currently had seemed like a dream that this man could make come true. Hitler quickly started gaining power and began ranking up and by 1921 he became the leader of the Nazi party. When becoming the leader he decided he wanted to do something that would actually help improve the situation Germany was in. To do so, Hitler tried to force the Bavarian government into working with them by organizing a Beer Hall Putsch. This attempt to help only made things worse, sending Hitler to prison. Hitler was sentenced to 5 years but only served 9 months of his time. During his time in prison, Hitler worked on a speech that he would use to get more followers. When released from prison everything went to plan. He gained more supporters and decided to go for president. Of course that didn't quite go to plan. Hitler lost the election,but because of his many supporters and popularity he was appointed chancellor a year later by the president. When gaining this position Hitler made sure to make the Nazi party part of the government which gave him even more power, especially after the death of the president and his rule
