Forensic science is extremely important in finding killers but can be used against the police in certain situations. There are also many ways in which someone could study forensic science and this could result in more unsolved cases. The police will continue to find new ways to use forensic science to find out who the killer may be and what they need to do is to be able to stay one step in front of those killers who are forensically aware. If the killer happens to be a forensic scientist, then there is a way in which they can tamper with the evidence and lead everyone working with them on the case in a different direction. This is one of the least common ways in which killers have attempted to get away with murder, but this way is one of the most successful ways of doing so. By leading everyone astray the killer can make the evidence look as if someone else committed the crime by planting that person’s DNA in the evidence. One of the most common forms of tampering with evidence is changing the bite marks found on a victim. Forensic Odontology is the examining of bite marks and matching those marks with dental records, this evidence is almost always able to find a perfect match because everyone's teeth are different. Tampering with this evidence allows the killer to make it seem very plausible that someone else has committed the crime by putting their undeniable dental records, which only match to one person, in as evidence. This form of fraud in forensic science is the most dangerous and makes the killer almost impossible to find (Beety, Valena and Oliva,
