pretty much all Thomas Jefferson wanted was for the government to use their power wisely and protect the people instead of wasting It on dumb stuff.
Locke is technically a founding father mainly because he made a source for possibly the most known founding father, Thomas Jefferson. John locke believed that every person should be completely free and equal and he made it happen, so I believe that john locke is or could have been a founding fater.
John Locke should be considered a founding father because his work helped Thomas Jefferson write the declaration of independence. without the declaration of independence we would probably still be controlled by the british government. We wouldn’t be as free and equal, Benjamin Franklin wouldn’t have became our first president. our lives would be so different and everything we "need" wouldn’t have been invented, like cell phones, computers, televisions. but since we have the declaration of independence, we wouldn’t have to worry about all of
