Superficially, loss is a bitter feeling, but eternally it is difficult to view a loved one passing as only a negative thing. Being in heaven with the Lord is nothing shy of the greatest outcome. The worldly loss is truly a heavenly gain; Philippians 1:21 says it best, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain”. I know in my heart that my loved ones who have passed left this sinful, sad world behind and are now where they always longed to be; for that, I am truly grateful.
