Why Is Lying Bad
Lying can be use to do good things I suppose everyone who tells little white lies, quite often they’re necessary to make someone feel better or prevent feelings from being hurt.Everyone lies in one point of their life, even if you think it ok or not.Lying is saying something that's not true to cover up what you did or what someone else did. Lying is only acceptable when it can be used to protect and care for others and if it creates more positive results than a negative one. First,lying can help protect the feelings of others.For example in the article,”The U.S. Political Campaign,” by Time Magazine it states that”The couple who leaves early,saying the babysitter has a curfew would not be thanked by the hostess if the truth were told:
“Frankly we're both bored to tears.” The couple lied to the host, so they wouldn’t hurt the host’s feelings by saying something rude.If the couple would have told the truth, then their relationship with the host wouldn’t be the same as it was. Lying is ok when it makes someone smile or happy, like lying about someones hair cut or lying about the clothes that you're wearing that day. Lying is justified in most cases.Some people may argue that lying can break relationships. For example in the article, “Teens Do their Share of Lying” they contend that the mother can’t trust her daughter after she lied about what she was wearing.That broke the mother and daughter relationship. That is an understandable concern, however the daughter wanted to dress the way she wanted, but her mom didn’t want her daughter to be herself. So some people lie to be their self without hurting the other person’s feelings.
Obviously, lying is ok when you save or care for different people and if it makes a better impact than a terrible one.It could save the person's feelings, and lying can help make people smile of feel good about their self.
