Niccolo Machiavelli was born on May 3rd 1469 in Florence, Italy. Not much is known of Machiavelli’s childhood. To regain a political job again and the Medici’s good favor Machiavelli wrote The Prince. To this day The Prince is still his most well-known work. Machiavelli’s work became a pamphlet that was released in 1513 and later was released in book form around 1532. In The Prince it outlined Machiavelli’s version of an ideal leader. The Prince not only failed to win the Medici’s favor but it also alienated him from the Florence community. Machiavelli was never welcomed back in to politics due to his visions even after the Florentine republic was reestablished. Even though, his actual views were not as intense as wrote in his most famous book The Prince. In more detail of his other works, Discourses on the First Ten Books of Livy and History of Florence. His views show that he is more of a political moralist than what he was first viewed as. He was well known as an Italian historian, politician, diplomat, philosopher, humanist and writer. Machiavelli is most well known as the writer of The Prince which was released in 1532 as a book after he had passed away. Machiavelli had many jobs in his life and has written over 15 well known books in his time. For the first part of his life Machiavelli was most known for being a diplomat before he became exiled from the political life. After the release of his book, he once again became exiled from the political world this time, for the rest of his life. While he was alive Machiavelli never was able to see his own book be released. Although Machiavelli was known through many field he was most well-known for his writing and being a diplomat. Throughout his life he tried many things and, succeeded in many others. That allows him to be known during the time of the Renaissance and be considered as a well-known Renaissance
