Method Acting is frequently called ‘The Method' and it is a form of acting training usually related to an American school of acting founded by Lee Strasberg (….). Strasberg was one of the many actors who respected and explored a system of acting training that was being developed by the Russian director Konstantin Stanislavsky. All of these are great, useful methods. There is nothing that will hurt or effect the actor in negative ways. For example, the Meisner Technique was developed by theatre practitioner Sanford Meisner concentrates on the ‘self’. Here, actors practice the exercise of repetition. In this exercise, two actors sit across each other and communicate with each other by repeating a phrase. The phrase is about the behavior of both actors involved in the scene. The tone keeps changing depending on the response each receives from the opposite person. Few actors that practice this technique are Naomi Watts, Tom Cruise and James Franco.
