Why Is Quality Important In Healthcare

Quality is what distinguishes one from the rest. People will spend more on high tech gadgets, nice clothing, and durable cars because there is the promise of quality. Quality is what is sought after by consumers and this idea does not change when taken into the context of healthcare. As a PA, we could see 100 patients a day, but none of that would matter if the patients did not get something out of the visit. A wasted day can be described as a day where you didn’t give it your all. When I go to a doctor or a PA, I want to be listened to. I want to be acknowledge as a patient with concerns and have those concerns addressed. I want to walk out of that office and feel as if I got some of my questions answered and know how to continue on from there. That is why reading all the magazines in a waiting room before I get called does not bother me because it makes me feel as if each case is being taken with care. Attentiveness, thoroughness, and kindness are all aspects I look for when I’m seeking healthcare, so I’d like to apply these characteristics to
By talking about the issues the world faces, we are accepting them. The sooner an issue can be acknowledge, the quicker we can begin action to change it. The concept that powerful people are the only ones who can endorse real change is a perspective that I’d like to change as well. As physician assistants, we are also capable of making a difference in the lives of others. Being friendly and playful with a fearful young toddler can help lighten their perspective on check-ups. Listening to someone’s concerns can comfort them. Prescribing much needed medicine can change the course of an illness. There are too many ways that change can be endorsed and those are only a few of the many things I plan to do as a physician assistant. I aspire that the PA community can continue to
