Sandra Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper is a well known dermatologist that was raised and works in Upland, California. After starting a youtube channel earning over 2,590,000 subscribers, Dr. Sandra Lee started her own skincare line along with merchandise then led her to be a true entrepreneur. Being a certified dermatologist Dr. Sandra Lee attended UCLA, got a degree in Biology. Then went to Hahnemann University in Philadelphia (4 years). Got a Medical internship at Allegheny General Hospital (1 year). Dermatology Residency (3 years), then a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgical and Laser Dermatology. She was 33 years old when she finished all of her training.
Early Life Dr. Sandra Lee didn’t always want to be a dermatologist, educator, and entrepreneur. Her mother and father came to America from Singapore and Malaysia the year before she was born, so that her dad could complete his dermatology residency in New York. She is Chinese, but her dad is from Singapore and her mother is from Malaysia. Dr. Sandra Lee was born in Flushing, New York, then moved to Southern California when she was 5. She has had her Youtube channel for a few years. When she created it, it mostly contained snippets from both her jobs (being on the show “The Doctors” and being in her office). December of 2014 she posted a video of a blackhead extraction that she decided to post on Instagram and that’s when people told her to start posting on a youtube channel every week.
