Why Is The Aztecs Important In Our Daily Life
The Aztecs did many things in their daily life. Such as every kid had to go to school even slave children. The people responsible for running the schools were called priests. The girls mainly learned about marriage in school. Aztecs learned about religion and work skills. The Aztecs also had to learn about warfare,history and citizenship. Also,the Aztecs had four leadership and society classes called nobles,commoners,serfs and slaves. Something Aztecs enjoyed doing was to play music,make arts and crafts and to also do science. Instruments they had were shells,rattles and whistles. Other instruments they used were drums,bells and horns. Women were usually responsible for making the clothes. The Aztecs first ruler was Acamapichtli. Acamapichtli overseed the construction of the Aztec empire. The Aztecs second ruler was Cuauhtemoc. The Aztec government is responsible for the punishment,agriculture and all of the civilizations environment. The Aztecs had some weird laws including the one time forgiven law. The one time forgiven law was that if you confessed to the crime before you were proven guilty you would not be punished. Some other of the Aztecs laws were no drunkenness and property damage. The Aztecs also had laws about no stealing or murder. When a new emperor came they had to spend four days worshipping the gods. They had some severe punishments like death. The Aztecs had many bad omens to name a few one was if you saw fire in the sky or a lake appeared to be boiling. Some others were if a two headed man was seen. They worshipped their gods through music. The Aztecs had many gods like their god of suffering and of spring and new life was Xipe Totec. Their god of everything and everyone was Tloque Nahuaque. They also had a rain god named Tlabc. Their god of war,death and of magic was Tezcatlipoca. The Aztecs god of wind,priesthood,creation and knowledge was Quetzalcoatl. Mictlantecuhtli was their god of death and Huitzilopochtli was the Aztecs god of son,war and nation. Their god of fire was Huehueteotl. The Aztecs also had goddess like Coatlicue who was the goddess of life's pain. The Aztecs goddess of lakes and streams was Chalchiuhtlicue. Lastly,their goddess of hearth was Chantico.

There were many systems but the Aztecs used the barter system. The Aztecs main crop was corn. The Aztecs had some other crops like beans and potatoes. Some other typical crops were tomatoes and avocadoes. The Aztecs also traded tobacco. They sold either themselves or their children into slavery just to pay of their debts. The Aztecs also bartered with cacao beans. An egg would be worth 3 beans. A rabbit would be worth 30 beans. Anything larger would be worth 65-300
