Why Is The New Deal Successful

The Great Depression was a hard time period. The reason it was caused is because of the stock market crashing. Everyone had money in the stock market but were in debt. That is because people who bought on margin could not pay any money back. The New Deal was successful because it helped people get out of debt and end the great depression.
One reason the New Deal was successful was because it created jobs for young men. The Civil Conservation Corp is the group that created jobs. The CCC gave work to men that were ages 18-25. The young men had helped build bridges, dams, and they planted trees. This detail shows how the men had an automatic job when they turned 18. The money they made could be saved up and make sure they can live in a safe shelter. It also lowered the unemployment rate.
The Social Security gave money to the people older than 65 money after they retired. It created unemployment insurance. If you are a person that does not have a job you could get payed a little money just to get by. This helped because the unemployed get a little money to save up until they can find a job. The elderly people will get money to be able to pay for basic needs like food and shelter.
The New Deal was a great thing that happened to the United States during the Great Depression. It created jobs and got people out of debt. It helped the United states get out of the depression faster than it would of with out the New Deal.
