Why Is Writing Important
There is estimated to be 781 million people over the age of 15 that are illiterate (the gardian.com). Literacy is the cornerstone of life. Unfortunately, not everyone has the ability to utilize these skills. Reading is critically important because it develops the mind by the ability to comprehend words. The ability for the human body to write and understand what they write is the basis for communication. Verbal communication represents another way to communicate, which most people do on a daily basis. Everybody could benefit from reading, writing, and having the ability to speak.
Being able to read is crucially important for a variety of various reasons. It allows people to go farther in life and get past all the necessary education to become successful. Most people that cannot read do not become millionaires. Being able to read and relax will create less tension and let the mind focus harder on other things like sports. This is due to the substantial amounts of focus put into reading (naturalbeachliving.com). Typically, smarter people are those who read most often. This is primarily because reading increases your vocabulary, which in turn can be used when you speak or write to make the person sound a lot smarter (naturalbeachliving.com).

However, writing is super beneficial when one is looking for a job. The person must be capable of filling out an application otherwise they will be picking up trash alongside the road. It improves their critical reasoning skills because people must have the ability to think outside the box when writing. Writing is also important because it can make a person a ton of money someday. If someone writes a book, they can get paid thousands for that one book. Studies show that writing about your emotions can relieve stress because it releases the thought outside and lets new events travel inside of the person

Everyone writes for different reasons. Writing allows us to tell a story through our own perspective. It allows us to pour all our thoughts and emotions into something that we otherwise might not speak about. Writing can spark ideas and memories we have and draw them out to be put into words on paper. It exercises our mind and our way of thinking. When you write you say what you mean. Some people use writing as an outlet, a way to express themselves or relieve stress and anxiety. It can be used for any purpose. Elie Wiesel uses his experience in the holocaust in a lot of his writing. He feels that he must be the one to tell the story of the victims, the ones who can’t tell it for themselves. As a survivor he is responsible for never letting anyone forget about it. I like to write about something I feel strongly about, something that makes me happy or makes me think, someone or something that has influenced me in different ways. For instance, when I visited Ireland a few years ago, the experience I had there is something I care so much about and it has affected me to such an extent that I want to write about it. The people in my life and the experiences I have had are topics that make me excited to write about.…

Every third inhabitant of our planet manages to get by without the art of reading and without the art of writing. This includes roughly 900 million people, and their numbers will certainly increase. The figure is impressive but misleading for Humanity comprises not only the living and the unborn but the dead as well. Writing gives us a way to study our past, record the present, and discover the future. Without it I feel that we would not have been able to achieve close to what we have so far. As professor Heckathorn states, "writing is an action, an event, a performance." Writing is a form of permanent communication. The reader is grasping the original ideas of the author as apposed to a regurgitated version. Not only this but there are no interruptions in the flow of thought. Conversation or argumentation for example, can have many conflicting and confusing points of view often arriving at no conclusion. Writing allows the reader to comprehend the authors train of thought from beginning to end.…

People that are illiterate can't function on a day to day basis like we can. Like people that live in the middle of nowhere with no education or common sense would not be able to adapt to stuff like we can. Also they wouldn't be able to comprehend the books that we read or even understand them the same way we do. That is why literacy plays a big role in everyone's lives.…
