In no way am I debunking DC Comics as a legitamate source for entertainment, but Marvel just has a better way of going about it. The comic brands both have amazing characters and stories, some of which are eerily similiar. Marvel is very good at making their characters show a real struggle, whether it's with an enemy or themselves. They have depth and detail that has only gotten more defined over the years. The individual abilities of heroes and villains alike are well-defined and definiite, obvious limits. DC, however, has struggled to keep some of their boundaries on their characters abilities defined. Some of their characters have changed so much over the years that they are no longer the same person they started out as. Marvel has done this, too, but not to such a great extent. Everyone knows that Iron Man or Tony Stark is a "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist". He started out as just a guy in a metal suit, and his character has only gone more in-depth. Batman is a totally different story. His character has been revised so much over the years that people who saw him in the beginning would not recognize his character anymore. His comic was originally a detective one. His comics hold totally different elements
