Why nursing
The first response to the question, “Why nursing?” in my mind is in comparison to the benefits of a career of long lasting education, opportunities, job rate, and helping those in need of cure. I wish to contribute to the pediatric career of nursing. Nursing is not only about the “big” things in life, but about all the small things that can make people better. I believe if people think positive the outcome of their illness will be positive with the assistant of their nurses. My mom works at a nursing home, so I have always been around doctors, nurses, and specialists. Repeatedly, I was asked the question “what do you want to do when you grow up”. The steadfast answer of “I want to do something to help people get better” was always my response. I truly enjoy helping people and nurturing them when they need it. I believe when I set my mind to something I get the job done and make a huge impact. Nursing manufactures care giving and teaching in a way that exploits my natural strengths while aiding others.
Moving into the nursing field is not only a working accomplishment, but an individual accomplishment as well. My interest provides me with a never ending stride to learn something new. Nursing in my eyes is not simply an opportunity for a maintaining career, it is the person I am; nurturing has always been and will continue to be a way of life. No matter who the person is or what the person has, i plan on being there to make them better.
I believe MCPHS will make me the nurse i have always dreamt of being. The work load and clinical studies will transform the little facts i know into beneficial facts that will be unforgettable. I plan on achieving many goals to become a physicians assistant or a nurse practitioner, and the three year accelerated program would be perfect for achieving these goals. Nursing is an intense field of study, but i truly believe studying at MCPHS will make my experience and overall

Nursing is a career not just a job, nursing is treating people as a disease, but as a unique individual who has his/her own values, beliefs, needs, and also treat the family with respect, compassion, patience, and show that we care. I chose nursing because I have always liked helping people. Ever since I was a little girl I liked helping and I would tell my dad that if he was ever sick I would take care of him so he could get better. At first I wanted to be a doctor, a pediatrician to be exact, but I chose nursing because, nurses have more contact with patients and nursing school is shorter than medical school. I know I made the right choice because as I have been doing clinicals, I have been falling more and more in love with what nurses do, but throughout the process I have also seen what kind of nurse I do not want to be. During clinicals there was an agency nurse a patient did…

At first I was drawn to nursing as it was what my mother had done for a living for many years and I had seen much of what she did first hand with my many injuries in sports and being an adventurous child. As I went into high school and was able to see what it truly takes to be a nurse, with all of the bedside manner and to say it simply “blood and guts,” I began to rethink my decision to go into nursing. While it takes less schooling to become a nurse, it is an extremely rigorous course load and an arduous task for someone who is not fully committed to that field of work. I experienced the same kind of trials while looking at other health professions such as becoming a doctor, a veterinarian, or a dietician before finally coming to the realization that none of these were the career path for me.…

There are two reasons I want to go into nursing. The first reason is that I love helping other people and taking care of other people. Being a nurse requires you to help and take care of others every day. The second reason is because I was inspired by a nurse when I was 13. My grandpa had a heart attack in 2008. I spent a lot of time by his bed while he recovered from the double bi-pass surgery he needed. He had four or five different nurses, but there was one nurse, Jessica, and she made me want to do what she did. She always cared for grandpa with a smile and a gentle touch. She made it her priority to make sure that my grandpa was comfortable during his stay at the hospital. Seeing her care for my grandpa in the gentle way she did made me want to become a nurse and take care of patients the same way she took care of him. I want to take my nursing career one of two ways. The first is to work as a trauma nurse in ER’s working with patients who need immediate help. The second path is to work as a pediatric nurse in a children’s hospital.…
