For example, each individual finds their own life precious as they have a natural drive to live, and assumes that everyone’s lives are similar to their own, thus everyone’s lives are precious so killing others would be breaking the Natural Law and therefore wrong.
However, if god designed humans to pursue righteousness and gave humans the ability to recognize it, then why do people break the Natural Law all the time? If the Natural Law is theoretical so intuitively obvious to humans and all living things then why do people kill each other, why are there atheist, would things like suicide, and not having sex would be the ‘wrong’ thing to do as humans?
Another issue that all of Aquinas Laws have in common are that their premise is based on god. This itself is a major flaw as his Laws mean nothing to a nonbeliever. These Laws would only sound reasonable to people who believe in god. Also, Natural Law assumes that just because something is a certain way, therefore it ought to be that way. For instance, just because animals want to live, they must live; just because people enjoy sex, people must have sex/reproduce. This is a false assumption most people make as they are naturally inclined to cling to their lives and believe everything revolves around
