The gangs take the young high risk adolescences in and take care of them and raise them in the way of a gang life. “The reason young people join gangs because they feel left out. They need protection.” (NEWS, 2006)
Although they are taking care of the teen they mode them in to their image of how they want them to do and how they want them to act and live their life. Which causes the teen to have this gang mentality and that’s all that they end up knowing throughout their whole life. Also for them to die for the gang because the gang means that much to them at that point that the teen has been raised by the gang and that’s all that they have been taught thus far in their lives.
