In the article it also states the following “”Child Soldiers,” said one of the peacekeepers. “The rebels use them in their first line of fire”” This is important because it shows how rebels are used to kill people. But they are drugged and forced to kill people, and it is not their fault that they kill people. Some opposers of child amnesty will try to make the little kids seem worse by using terrible words to describe only children. In this quote it says “My cameraman burst into the room telling me of a horrible ambush”. They use words like horrible to make it seem like it is entirely their fault, and that it was a disaster. Though the children did not really know what to do as strangers were approaching their territory, and they were forced, and drugged to do those things anyway. Even then the entire group of children were murdered right afterwards by a group called the Peacekeepers. This means that the argument that child soldiers do not deserve amnesty because they kill people is not as valid because they are drugged and forced to kill, instead of it being their own
