First of all, some families may not have enough money to pay for uniforms for their kids in school. A strict uniform code would be wasteful because you don’t always wear them all year and also uniforms can be expensive (Gateway News). Many kids enjoy waking up in the morning to pick out their outfit. They look forward to being who they are in school and dressing how they want. When kids have to get up and just get their uniform out it is no fun for them. When creativity is cut off it stops kids from showing creativity and makes them believe they need to be conformed with others. (Hoofnagle 1). When kids are forced to wear uniforms it stops them from showing who they are. Many kids like dressing how they like in school and being able to show who they are and what they enjoy doing in life. Such as wearing a basketball shirt to show that they enjoy basketball or anything else that they enjoy. “Clothing is an important part of culture; removing that from developing children and teenageers will effectively create a generation of unsatisfied drones” (Hoofnagle 1).
