Why Should Kids Be Required To Wear Uniforms

Should kids be required to wear uniforms in school? Uniforms do not help kids in any academic way. Uniforms take away freedom from kids to dress how they want. They are not allowed to wear whatever they want and show their personalities. Also some families may not be able to afford uniforms for their kids. Kids should not be required to wear uniforms in school because some families may not be able to afford uniforms and kids are not allowed to show their creativity and freedom in school when they have to wear uniforms.
First of all, some families may not have enough money to pay for uniforms for their kids in school. A strict uniform code would be wasteful because you don’t always wear them all year and also uniforms can be expensive (Gateway News). Many kids enjoy waking up in the morning to pick out their outfit. They look forward to being who they are in school and dressing how they want. When kids have to get up and just get their uniform out it is no fun for them.
