Students Should Not Be Required to Wear Uniforms.

Should students be required to wear uniforms? I for one do not believe that students should be required to wear uniforms. Kids would not have the creativity if everything is chosen for them. If kids have to wear a uniform everyday what else would teens or kids spend their money on? And what about the clothes you already own? What happens to them? In this essay I will provide to you three reasons why students should not have to wear uniforms. The first supporting reason for kids to not be required to wear a uniform is that if your outfit is to be chosen for you, how can you still have creativity? Some people say you are what you wear. Furthermore some creative people may turn out to be designers. Those people will probably have the most promising future but if you tell them what to wear every day you can never tell. The second supporting reason for kids not to be required to wear uniforms is that if the kids wear uniforms they will not be able to spend their money. Without being able to pick out what to buy you can’t see creativity in them. Also if kids can’t buy all their clothes all the businesses will go out of businesses. Kids purchasing clothes adds to the growth of the economy. The third supporting reason for kids not to be required to wear school uniforms is when would you wear all of the clothes that you do own? You would probably wear a pair of pajamas and a pair of sweat pants after school and a couple of pairs of clothes on the weekend. It would be a waste to leave all the clothes that kids do own in the closet. Not being able to have creativity, to buy your own clothes, and owning clothes that you do not wear is why students should not be required to wear school uniforms. It is a terrible thing to not have the privilege of wearing your own clothes. Having uniforms could be a good thing in some people’s eyes but as a student I don’t believe that uniforms are absolutely
