I met my best friend while playing soccer.
Throughout the years I’ve met a lot of my friends. When we got time we meet up in Corley Field and play, first team to score 10 wins. Or sometimes when more than 10 people show up we make teams of 4 and first team to score win. We do this so that every team gets a chance to play on the field. Not everyone I met I like, I just tolerate them due to the fact that we are in the same team, or because we are beating the team they’re in and I know we won’t play them again. But it’s fun meeting people by a sport we love and have in common. I’ve learned it’s important to respect everyone even though they might not. It shows the respect you have for the
game!
Throughout the years of playing soccer I’ve made many memories good and bad. One of the bad memory was when we lost a championship game. The game had ended so we went to penalties and my fellow teammate missed what could have been our winning shot. Gio kicked the ball to hard and it went over the goalie top post. One of the best memories about soccer is when our team, A. C. Millan, won two championship games in one weekend. In the Mexican league it was normal for a team to be in multiple leagues. Another great memory I’ll never forget is when I bought my first pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor II in 2004 my favorite cleats of all times. When I wore them to Saturday’s game I had everyone’s head turning!
Even though I don’t play soccer anymore I will always have love for the sport. Soccer has been and will be in my life. I’ve made memories with friends that are really unforgettable. Met a lot of my friends through soccer and not to me most importantly I’ve learned life lesson that I’ll never forget and hope my kids in the future will learn them as well. With the experience from soccer I know it will help out in the world we live in today. Soccer is life!
