Why Students Cheat Research Paper

Most kids grow up with dreams of being a very successful adult, but one thing is known; in order to become successful you’re expected to do well in school. According to Lang “Most of us are willing to engage in acts of dishonesty under the right circumstances.” (par. 7) Nowadays especially, students want to cheat and plagiarize majority of their work. There could be many reasons for why students may cheats, whether it’s because they are playing a sport, they may be consumed with other classes, or it could simply be the lack of motivation that the students have to do their work. In college, most students just want an “A” in the class so they can get the credit and move on with their life. With that being said, they will cheat and plagiarize for almost every assignment because they are lazy and want the easy way out. Plagiarism is a huge deal because you are taking someone else’s work and claiming it as your own. Cheating isn’t good either because that is like taking someone else’s intelligence because you are too lazy to study and do your work on your own.
