c intersting booths at open day/info day
thinks the knowledge more closely related to daily lives booths have examples have theories, the theories are highly applicable to daily lives thus a good choice to study
Why developmental psy?
when as undergrad, know more abt the knowledge/issues related to developmental psy, thinks that witness changes in development is interesting findings show that there are sig. changes
e.g. young children from “knowing how knowing that” to really understand the reason underlying.
Why PhD for Edu but not psy?
PhD in Edu do researches under school setting do some research that is new developmental is more likely under peer aspect (?)
What are the difficulties throughout the study life?
general : time management understand the actual deadline clearly choose the time slot for presentation carefully sometimes have to multitask
Undergrad many projects and midterms and exams as there are many subj to study heavy workload but it is happy to work with mates
do thesis face some obstacles in doing thesis
e.g. rejected by targets, like principals of kindergarten hard to make time for doing thesis research as workload at school already very heavy
postgrad as TA new experience try to see thru the concepts, figuring out the key points that need to be noticed have to balance between the allocation of time between being TA and doing research sometimes too much focus on TA prep no much time left for research
PhD gets much more freedom, thus self-discipline becomes important only a few courses to be taken, other time are for doing research finding data and writing thesis
How to have self-discipline?
some methods set deadline by yourself divide targets into different stages of goals, which gives more motivation keep track of yourself progress find other ppl to share pressure
What are the similarities of and differences between students nowadays and that in the past?
