Why is suspension catching the eyes of parents and students? Is it really time to desert old ways? Somehow, Suspensions rates in the United States have skyrocketed recently, becoming an all out dilemma. This is because in the eyes of teachers, suspension is the quickest, and sometimes the most efficient way to remove a disturbance or threat in a school environment. Although suspension may be an easy way out of difficult situations involving student misbehavior, Suspension should be removed as a choice of punishment because it is an old practice that is not up with the times, there are better ways of correcting student misbehavior, and it allows students to attempt to do better while completing their education.
