Why Texas Fought In The Civil War

The reason why the Texans fought in the civil war was because they didn't want to lose their high tariff of slavery. The voters of Texas overwhelmingly approved a referendum calling for secession from the U.S. The civil war began, and Texas was engaged in a bloody battle of lifestyles. and beliefs that cost them dearly. My opinion is that they should fight and save us from slavery. Texas secedes from the union and fought for the free of slavery to help the south. The union and voting of equal states and it may also be because of states right . A Lot of people that fought in the civil war were Texans. some people died and suffered from disease. About 65,000 Texans fought for the south in the civil war.Some fought with a famous
cavalry unit called Terry Texas rangers. There would have been slave states in the southern. States in the union would not be able to do anything because they were controlled.This is a union of equal states and no states can force another state to remain or withdraw from it
