normally a facade. Everything may seem like it is good, however, these are criminals and obviously are not in the right mindset at all. This may then lead to neglect of the child, which could cause the child to rebel in school or at home simply because that child wants to be noticed. The parents of other children, may also single this child out because of the bad impressions given off by the parent or parents that were in prison.
Supposedly people come out of prison as a changed person, however many times it's not a real change. It's a mask given off by the criminal to try to get better results from the court. When the child is singled out, the child may begin to feel unworthy which could in worst cases scenario lead to self harm, or even suicide attempts. The child could also be bullied, because of the choices made by the parents, or could also be the one who starts the bullying because of a want for attention. This could then lead to the child becoming mentally unstable because of the many feelings of neglect that come from the school, and or the household
situation. It is morally wrong for a child to return to their parent or parents who have committed a felony. The child should never need to feel any type of pain, or any sense of unsafety in the household. It is not right and no child no matter what the circumstances should ever be put in a situation where they may question why they are so unlucky as to have a dysfunctional household, or even why they need to be alive. It is morally wrong and should not be tolerated under any circumstance. The child under any circumstances should not be able to witness crime in the household. It is not safe, and may lead the child in the future to believe behavior like this is tolerated in society. The more crime the child witnesses, the more of influence it may have on the child's future. Over time the child will surely pick up on all of the bad habits, which will then cause a life of crime in the child's future, simply because the parent or parents chose a life of crime, which then rubbed off onto the child. Overall, it is detrimental for a child to return from foster care to a parent or parents who have committed a felony. Not only is it unsafe for the child in more ways than one, it also causes the child to develop problems that can cause a harmful future. It is wrong and should not be allowed under any circumstances.
