the school. A school could be severely affected by a disease in the school in many different ways. A disease could be spread between students, teachers, and anyone else working or present in the school. It could be passed on from a student to a teacher, causing the teacher to be absent. When a teacher is not at school to teach the class and has to have a substitute teacher in, the students may not learn as much as planned. It is also harder for students to have a set schedule when their teacher is missing class time due to sickness. Students can also spread diseases to other students. Students are always in contact with each other, which makes the spread of a disease so easy. It could quickly spread to multiple students in the school and make its way out into the community as well. When many students are absent, it also makes it more difficult for the teacher to plan for the class and catch the missing students up. Also, some parents may not feel comfortable sending their children to a school that has a disease being spread around. This could lead to even more students being absent from classes. Students should have to be immunized to help plan for the future.
Immunizations can reduce or even get rid of diseases for future generations. There have been diseases in the past that no longer exist because people got their immunizations and eliminated the disease all together. This led to people not even needing to receive these immunizations any more. Hopefully in the future, even more diseases will be eliminated due to people getting their immunizations as they should. By schools making it mandatory for students to be up to date with their immunizations, this helps us achieve a decrease in diseases in the
future. I think that these three points show that it is extremely important that all children get vaccinated before they are allowed to attend school. I also believe that if a student is not vaccinated, they should be suspended until they receive the immunizations needed. This makes the school a much safer place and also makes the parents feel better about sending their children to school every day. It is important to protect each student’s health by being up to date with vaccines so that they are able to attend school and perform at their best during school. This should cause students to get good grades along with good attendance. Also, by students having their vaccines, they are preventing themselves from catching a disease as well as spreading the disease. There are many people in a school throughout a day, including students, teachers, principals, custodians, guests, etc. This makes the possibility of a disease spreading to a large group of people very easy and fast. Finally, future generations will benefit from students needing to be immunized. Students having their vaccines will help reduce diseases and help future students be more healthy and able to attend school. All these points put together, make the valid point that all students should be immunized.
