Jacobs family ended up being a wealthy but poor family, they had a big family but having a big family doesn't mean you are rich. Later on Jacobs ended up going to a private school in England with the name of Birkbeck College. He went to college to become a clerk for the civil service which he ended up doing in 1879. After he was done being a clerk at a civil service department he ended up going to a bank department which was the savings part. He worked there until 1899 which ended up being six years.
W.W. Jacobs wrote over twenty books. When Jacob Started Writing books it was in 1896 then continued to write as life went on. He seemed to write one every year or one every two years until his last book came. Between his last two books was a seven year time period and then he ended after that book.
W.W. Jacobs did not end up getting any awards for his writings. Jacobs was not a literary person. Within his life he did not make that many friends he always wanted to keep himself close to the friends he had and keep them in a small circle. He was not a very public man which means he did not go out often. This is why he did not end up getting any awards for his books he wrote. He would get people to read them and they would get very popular but they would end up dying down because he wouldn't talk to anyone about
