Winston Churchill Quote Essay
Quote Essay Winston Churchill once said, “Only a man with no heart would be conservative when he is young; only a man with no brain would be liberal when he is older” and this proved to be very true. Winston Churchill is directly saying that young people are liberals while old people are conservatives. This Quote implies that liberals are not very smart and young people are generally liberal and that conservatives are not very kind and genuine and old people are generally conservative. This Quote also implies that if a young person is not liberal, he is not kind and if an old person is not conservative when he is old, he is not smart. This theory does prove to be true as it is proven by the actions and beliefs of conservatives and liberals and through the old and young generation beliefs.
Liberals are generally supported by the young people while conservatives are generally supported by the old people. Although some old people might be liberal and some young people might be conservative, Churchill’s quote applies generally to everyone and so generally speaking young people are more liberal while old people are more conservative. Also according to Churchill’s quote liberals are more kind while conservatives are smarter and this is also generally true as liberals focus on a theoretical approach while conservatives focus on a practical approach. 54 % the American population between the ages of 17 and 29 years old were liberal. Also the average age of a conservative is 47 years.
An issue that I might feel different about when I get older would be education as I might agree with conservative views when I get older but I agree with liberal views now because I believe public school are the best way to educate students but when I get older I might be able to see that school vouchers create competition as I would have already experienced learning in a public high school. Also when I get older I might want other students to get the best education through competition in

On March 4, 1865, Lincoln presented himself to the public to deliver his speech; days before the Civil War came to the end. Lincoln’s anguish is displayed as he summarized the events that led to the Civil War. Trust was destroyed between the North and South and Lincoln was left with a nation in turmoil fighting over slavery. He reminded the people that they were one nation, not two independent nations warring against each other. He did not want to throw accusations to one side and chose to show the common qualities each side had in each time period. In doing this, he forced the people to widen their mind and consider the other side’s perspective. He did not want the sides to continue fighting and wanted to create a common ground and impacted…

I found the quote in my epigraph to be very accurate; how can one become old and wise if they aren’t first “young and stupid”? Kids, teenagers and young adults tend to go against their parents’ words of wisdom to do what they believe will be fun, change their beliefs in politics and religion, and believe the idea of thinking they know everything, but they really don’t. I know this from experience, and a common example is when asking for permission to go do something stupid because everyone else is doing it, parents often say “If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?”, even though it is tempting to say yes, we answer no because us young people really know that our parents are actually correct. When young people become older and…

Ok what I have got here today is a detailed speech and I intend to explain two poems “Disabled” and “Dolce et Decorum est.”, both written by Wilfred Owen. I would choose these two poems to be in an anthology because I found the poems to be very dramatic and extremely detailed. Owen intends to shock us by demonstrating what a soldier might expect in a situation between life and death. He is not afraid to show his own feelings. Wilfred Owen is an anti-war poet and expresses his ideas and feelings through various themes and poetic devices which I will be discussing throughout this speech.…

In the Gettysburg Address, Lincoln states that we are a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people”, a government run by normal, everyday citizens, elected into office to represent the wants and needs of Americans. We, as a nation, were raised to help our fellow man, and to keep what is truly just in our minds and hearts. In this day and age, that former statement seems to become less and less true. The past three presidents have been something akin to a lawyer, a senator, or a big business owner, yet most employed people seem to be teachers, waiters or chefs, and doctors. Out of 43 presidents 4 have been teachers, and none have been waiters, chefs, or doctors to our knowledge. The last president that the common man could…

There are no limits on what you can do in life! The aphorism by Jim Carrey, “My soul is not contained within the limits of my body; my body is contained within the limitlessness of my soul”, helps me remember it every day. I portray “my soul” as my ideas, dreams, and goals. An aphorism is a wise saying or quote that contains words of truth, lasting meaning, or inspiration. The aphorism inspires people to do big things in life. It also reminds young readers to exploit their creativity while they still have an abundance of it.…

There has not been a movie so far that I have seen staring Morgan Freeman that I have disliked. My favorite movie that Morgan Freeman stared in was Along Came a Spider in which he played Detective Alex Cross a forensic pathologist who is on a case to find a missing girl who had been kidnapped.
