Wireless Technologies Proposal xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx BIS/220 xxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

As the businesses are emerging, they require advanced technologies. Wireless technologies are facilitating the businesses in many different ways. Wireless devices and wireless transmission media are technologies used in today’s business. Latest wireless devices such as android phones, I-phones, I-pads, laptops, PDA’s and wireless navigation systems provides businesses with various flexibilities.
“Individuals are finding it convenient and productive to use wireless devices for several reasons. First, they can make productive use of time that was formerly wasted (for example, while commuting to work on public transportation). Second, because they can take these devices with them, their work locations are becoming much more flexible. Third, wireless technology enables them to allocate their working time around personal and professional obligations.” (Rainer, & Cegielski, 2011) Distinct wireless device such as I-phone is used in multiple functions like browsing internet, daily planner, video conferences, sending or receiving emails, and personal and business banking. There are sources that distress the wireless systems consistency through dropping the networks range or efficiency, conceivably obstructive access to the wireless network.
Alternative possible difficulty is because in nature of a wireless network the signals move through the air which largess the probability of unauthorized admittance to the network. To overcome the moderate risk, numerous wireless encryption criteria have been established to defend the network from unauthorized access and protect the data travels through the wireless network. Wireless transmission media technically used to provide the services without the involvement of wires. Microwaves, satellite, radios, and infrared are the channels commonly used in wireless transmission media. These channels help individuals

Smart phones that incorporate wireless technologies have changed the business landscape in many ways. With smart phones we now have the ability to check and respond to important emails or calls when not in the office or workplace. Most businesses now require their corporate workers, managers, and supervisors to carry smart phones or mobile devices at all times. Wireless signals are all around us as we walk or drive around the city or town where we live. The four types of wireless technologies that are out there are Wi-Fi, Cellular, Bluetooth, and WiMAX. We will be looking at these types of wireless technologies a little more in depth, where are they most commonly used, and how they differ from one another. The first wireless technology that we will be looking at is the Wi-Fi wireless signal. The Wi-Fi signal is mainly associated with computer networking, the specification used to create a wireless local area network is the IEEE 802.11. One would use this type of wireless technology if you were a business owner opening up a coffee shop and needed a public network. The network would have a wired connection to an internet source, then leading to a wireless router that transmits and receives the data from all of the customer’s devices that want to use the Wi-Fi. This will also connect all of the devices to one another through the network. The next type of wireless technology that we will be looking at is Cellular. This type of wireless technology is most often associated with wireless telephones. The cellular network is connected to cells that will enable a user to move around freely while staying connected to the network. This type of signal is used everywhere you go nowadays and are used by everyone. There are a multitude of devices that use these networks at one time and those include, smart phones, tablets, and some computers can use the cell towers to get a signal to be able to use the internet. The first generation of cellular signals was completely analog, and from there with the growing demand of faster speeds and better connectivity technology brought us 2G, 3G, and the ever popular 4G phones. Bluetooth is the next technology that we will touch on and is very similar to the Wi-Fi and cellular networks but on…

As infrared signals can't pass through walls and it is diluted by bright lights, the sole use I can think about will be a very small workplace LAN or entertainment things just like remote controls. The upcoming wireless technology I would prefer to speak about is satellite signals. Satellite signals are just like line-of-sight microwave transmissions. Satellites orbit our planet. The receiving unit and the delivering unit should have their location connected together all of the time to have a good link. The advantage from this kind of technology is that the distance covered by the signals is a lot greater compared to other technologies utilized. The drawback of this technology is the price. The price of introducing and looking after a satellite place is a ton and that's why they are leased most of the time. A method satellite signals will be utilized would by satellite net services. An organization will utilize this kind of technology for high speeds or internet access in a far off place (Data Communication, 2002).…

In many situations a communication link between two devices becomes essential. This communication can be wired or wireless. If two devices are close to each other a wired link is preferred. However in many situations two devices are reasonably far apart. In that case a wireless link is preferred. One of the popular wireless communication technologies is RF communication that is being used in our project.…
