Witness Report

PART ONE – What method of evangelism did you use and how did you start the conversation? I used the Friendship method; I was drawn to that method because of the person in which I choose to witness to. My son was not my first choice, but it happen just as it was supposed to. I questioned the friendship method at first, but I came to understand friendship was just a metaphor for friends, family, stranger, and anyone else whom could fit into that category. I picked my son, because I felt he was the right person at that moment to witness to. He and I were engaged in a conversation about angel. Not the angel who are in Heaven, but the angel which there was a TV show that he and I use to love to watch once upon a time. Anyway, he was watching the DVD of the show in his room. There was a part that triggered his curiosity, so he came to ask me a question about it. I knew that was my opportunity to witness to him since he was already on the page about demons. I asked my son what if all of that was true about what was going on in the show, he said some of it is true. I asked him what part he thinks is true, he responded. The part when angel lost his soul. I asked him if angel lost his soul for real what would happen. He said they showed what would happen on the show, angel became a beast named Angelis. After that answer, I asked him, can I share something with you, he said share what? How good God is. “God is a good God; He is always there for you and me. He will give you everything your heart desire, all you have to do is ask. All he asks for in return is your love and devotion to him and only him. He said, you always ask me that. Then, I asked him do he believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he answered yes. Do you ever think about giving your life to the Lord? I began to tell him; remember when I told you I received Christ as my savior? It was a life changing experience for me; all kinds of

Operation in Detail: After adequate pre-operative evaluation, pre-operative medication, and signing the informed consent, the patient was taken to the operating room and administered a general endotracheal anesthetic with prominences well-padded. She underwent an uneventful reduction and was placed on traction through a well-padded boot. Her left lower extremity was flexed and abducted at the hip. All boney prominences and the peroneal nerve were well-padded. Fluoroscopic AP and lateral images revealed a good reduction of her intertrochanteric femoral fracture. The right hip was then sterilely prepared with Betadine scrub and solution and draped into the sterile field. She was administered IV preoperative antibiotics. A straight lateral approach to the proximal femur was made. Dissection was carried through the skin and subcutaneous tissue. Hemostasis was obtained with electrocautery. The fascia lata was divided in line with the skin incision. The fascia over the vastus lateralis was divided in line with the skin incision, and the vastus lateralis was divided in line with its fibers, revealing the lateral aspect of the proximal femur which was retracted with the…

In Aberdeen when someone commits a crime, either felony or misdemeanor, they are usually prosecuted by the State of South Dakota. For example when someone gets their indictment, or other court paperwork, it should say at the top: State of South Dakota vs _________. Since the State is doing the prosecuting instead of the city or county, each county has their own state’s attorney’s office. This is similar to the materials discussed in class. In the book it refers to district or county attorneys; those prosecutors much like ours are elected, and prosecute crimes committed in that county. The Brown County State’s Attorney office currently has five lawyers, and four legal aids. One of those lawyers is the state’s attorney, one is the chief deputy, and the other three are regular deputy attorneys. An average salary for a state’s attorney is between $75,000-80,000; while the total budget for the whole office is approximately $700,000.…

Pill bugs live in an outside environment where they are able to get the necessary amount of energy from organic matter. This environment is where water and organic matter is plentiful. In there natural habitat, pill bugs are found in dark, damp places. Living in moist places is important for pill bugs so they can take in enough water, and if water is not available, they group together to prevent water loss. Pill bugs most often live in dark places because they have a negative photo taxis. Darker places also tend to be cooler and damper. Each experiment connected to how the pill bugs would behave in a certain environment. We were able to test these experiments in a laboratory way to see if the natural environments were also true. If pill bugs are given a light and dark environment, then they will prefer the dark environment. If pill bugs were put in a warm or cold environment, they will prefer the cooler temperature. If pill bugs were in a dry or moist are, they would flock to the moist are. In the last experiment we tested to see if they preferred shelter or unsheltered environments, for which they choose unsheltered. After doing all four experiments, it was clear that pill bugs have a concise behavioral pattern in each environment.…

People who report on events use many different ways to report on that event. Authors who cover events use either an objective or subjective point of view to describe an event such as a natural disaster. Both “The Story of an Eyewitness,” by Jack London, and “Letter From New Orleans: Leaving Desire,” by Jon Lee Anderson, both describe the effects of a natural disaster from an objective or subjective point of view. “Story of an Eyewitness” focuses on the initial earthquake and fires following it, while “Letter From New Orleans: Leaving Desire” focuses on the floods following the hurricane. Jack London wrote about the 1906 earthquake that took place in San Francisco, Jon Lee Anderson told about the flooding in New Orleans following Hurricane…

In victim witness programs prosecutors provide victims with emotional support, information regarding the criminal justice system, and referrals to social service and legal assistance organizations in effort to promote the victim’s willingness to participate in the prosecution of cases (State of Nevada Advisory Council for Prosecuting , 2006). I will not say that victim witness programs are a waste of time and resources, however I do not think they are necessary. I do not think they are necessary because many domestic violence victims do not want to, or will not participate in prosecuting their offender. I think these types of services only benefits or serves purposes in managing victims that are truly interested in testifying and getting the justice in which they deserve. I do…

The authors are doing research on the relationship upon the concepts of time inconsistency, time consistency and a demand for precommitment technology. By definition, it is saying that time inconsistency is about a decision maker’s preference, at one point in time, is inconsistent with a preference at another point in time. From the standpoint of the authors, a growing number of consumers should sufficiently self-aware to notice their time-inconsistent tendencies will verify an upward demand for precommitment technologies. To approve this, the authors try to achieve evidence with reference to the extent to which consumers of addictive substance exhibit a demand for precommitment devices. The method used specifically in this paper, referred as the availability strategy, is to limit the availablility of a problematic good by not maintaining an easily accessed supply. Precisely, the authors examine the impact on liquor consumption of a collection of natural experiments on state-level policy changes that altered liquor sales hours on Sundays either for on-premise (in restaurants and bars) or off-premise (through liquor and package stores) consumption, i.e. “blue laws”, with the hypothesis that the implementation of blue laws should play a significant role in lowering aggregate liquor consumption. However, the authors find no meaningful demonstration that the precommitment devices contribute a lot to decreasing aggregate liquor consumption.…
