At the beginning of Oz the great and poweful it seems as Oscar is at rock bottem. During Oscars magic show things dont go as expected when a paralized girl asks him to make her walk instead of telling her that he is a illusion a fake he lets her cry and just leaves. Going to explain himself he was more worried about the money he would have to refund then the actual feelings of the young girl. In his downfall Oscar couldnt save the paralyzed girl but in Oz he uses “magic in a bottle” to put china dolls legs back together. Hiporitically the Monkey speech shows the true character of the wizard which through out the development of Oscar soon becomes his recreated personality. This is all an allusion to the grand show he promises to put on for Oz. Even through he hasnt fully changed into something great he belives he can trick his way out of this situation. While Oscsrs downfall is redemed Theodores is a diffrents story. The once good witch let envy and anger take over making her wicked. This transformation from good to wicked is the ultimate downfall to no redemption, the relentless wicked witch will stop aat nothing to get exactly what she wants. Her and her sister attempt to kill Glinda, getting revenge on Oscar, and takimng control of Oz. However, she and Evanora are defeated by Oscar's illusions. Forced to flee the city on her broom, but she threatens to return. This need for revenge fully convays Theodoras transformaton from good to evil completing her
