Women's impact on society is one of my personal favorites. Women have been impacting society and using their role in society for generations. Historically it has been a womens job to take care of the children. In colonial times one way women impacted society was by teaching their children. There was a time when women were not allowed to vote and even more so they were not allowed to even talk about politics, it was seen as man's work. Women historically were in charge of taking care of teaching their children so it only makes sense that eventually women would need to know politics in order to teach it to their children (CITATION). Eventually it was socially acceptable for women to talk politics in the home. This gave women a huge impact on politics. Although it was not socially acceptable to speak their political views in public they were shaping the minds of their children who if were men could speak their views in public and if they were women they could then teach their children the same views (CITATION). Women eventually gained the right to vote and today have the right to speak their political views, even run for office. These are the more traditional ways we think of women's impact on politics but I personally find the way women got their views voiced before they even had the right to vote to be the most
