Research Question : What reasons explain why female farmers in the United States and in Ireland created movements between 1870-1913? Which one was more successful? Female Farmers in the United States and in Ireland created movements because of the unequal rights and unfair working conditions.The women In the United States and in Ireland felt inferior to men , and they were not appreciated . The women wanted to create a method in which they could rebel and also get their word across .The females then rebelled against the system by creating a movement so that they could get what they long desired. when they did find a job , they had extreme conditions . Not only was it unfair for the women , they did not have any opportunities . That is why the women were forced to create jobs and hobbies inside their homes. After years and years of women being oppressed , they created the term ‘ Feminism “ , which is used in present time. Feminism means “the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men” and because of this , women could of never again been treated the way they were treated before . This shows that she wanted ensure everyone's needs for the holidays and not just special occasions but all the time The United States movements were more successful because of the ratification of the 19th amendment states ; “The 19th Amendment (1920) to the Constitution of the United States provides men and women with equal voting rights. The amendment states that the right of citizens to vote "shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex” . Although the 19th amendment was passed in 1920 ( Past the year of research ) , It means that after all of the hard work with achieving voting rights , they received what they longed for . As for what the women did which was fighting was good in the end . For this case, the ends justifies the means .
