The dissipating war of Vietnam still continues to affect America today. The only thing that keeps Vietnam alive is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The memorial covers more than 58,000 American men and women who died in Vietnam fighting for our county. Lacking the glory and heroism the war memorial shows, there is a silent reminder of the losses of the American soldiers. What the war did to the United States was unspeakable and it still has an overwhelming morality.…

I have chosen three different types of media to share with you about how significant the effects or consequences of war can be. I have selected some pictures from Eddie Adams the article “After Duty, Dogs Suffer Like Soldiers” and the video: James Nachtwey’s Searing Photo’s of War. These three pieces of media will definitely astound you. You may never think that war could have such a dramatic effect on people or animals.…
Many people when they eat don't think about all the people who are starving. It rarely crosses most people's minds but it's actually happening more than you could imagine. Everyday thousands of people that have fought for our country are starving as well as their families. There are few food pantries for homeless and starving people but one person changed that. Richard Snyek’s big idea was influenced by one veteran which changed Richard's whole life and thoughts about these vets starving. (Source #1)…
Veterans Day isn’t about relaxing at home or hanging with friends. Instead, it’s about remembering those who served in the war and died, and honoring the military soldiers. It first started on November 11, 1919. Just one American Veteran is still alive today: 108-year-old Frank Buckles. In order to recognize Veterans Day, the Dublin society should host a community walk, wear white, and bring in real soldiers to talk.…

In private clinics, techs are more likely to have regular business hours, though they will need to come in some evenings and weekends to feed and care for patients.…
A legal federal holiday on Veterans Day is commemorated in United States on November 11 on annual basis. The purpose on the back end to celebrate Veterans Day is to render prestige, tribute and honor to the folks who willingly contributed in US Armed Forces. The rationale to call this day specifically a veterans day is that the armed forces are also called as “veterans”. Speaking globally, the Remembrance Day and Armistice Day coincides to forge out one day which was then called as Veterans Day in 1954. Ultimately, the crux is spurted out in the shape of Veterans Day.…

Over 2 million Veterans are suffering from medical, physical, psychological, emotional, and social effects as the result of war. All of which are taking a tremendous toll on our veterans, their families, and our society. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) spends billions of dollars every year to help our Veterans and yet huge gaps in service and support remain. Inadequate medical care, a huge backlog of VA claims, limited treatment programs, and executive malfeasance plague the VA. These and other deficiencies in the “system” are putting our veterans at further risk. The rate of veteran suicide has reached epidemic proportions! Too many Veteran charities are taking advantage of donors and current laws governing the management and operations…
War veterans have been experiencing poor service dating back to an article released in 1974, these issues are still occurring today, and they are ending fatally (WND Staff, Military and Defense par. 1). The Veteran Health Administration (VA) was established in 1778 and provides medical care, benefits, and burials/memorials for all American veterans. To get into the VA system one must be discharged from the armed services and then enroll in the system. Patients must undergo a test to review their information (Zezima par. 5,7). Long wait times and false records are problems the public is facing, which is causing multiple fatalities. Curt Devine stated on CNN, “More than 1,000 veterans may have died in the last decade because of malpractice or…
You keep walking and then you look away as if there is nothing you can do, hoping that someone else will be able to help. You know that someone needs to help out but who? It is time to give back and make a difference in the lives of Veterans. There are many things about leaving the military for a degree that can be a scary experience. Three of the hardest situations that ever occurred to me is firstly, leaving the military to enter school, secondly doing nothing for someone in need and accepting a support system like other Veterans. As an outcome of these life lessons and not being able to compete for a job once out of the military, I understand the reason for higher education and helping out a Veteran in need.…
